Z-DeviceTest is a powerful application, simple and intuitive, which enables you to automatically test all the sensors on your mobile device. You will be able to check the status of the following sensors and systems:
- MAIN CAMERA - SECONDARY CAMERA (Videoconferencing) - GPS (satellite finder) - WIFI - BLUETOOTH - GSM / UMTS - ACCELEROMETERS - COMPASS - FM RADIO - SCREEN (Touch/Multi-touch) - BATTERY - CPU & MEMORY - SPEAKER (Internal for telephony and external for hands-free) - VIBRATOR - MICROPHONE - USB - OUTPUT AUDIO / VIDEO - OPERATING SYSTEM - LIGHT SENSOR - PROXIMITY SENSOR - TEMPERATURE SENSOR - CAMERA FLASH - NFC (Near Field Communication) - BAROMETER - ANT+ RADIO
Once Z-DeviceTest is runned, state algorithms are launched, which allow you to identify the status of the sensors with an intuitive set of icons. While the state is detected, the icon that represents each sensor appears in black and white. If it is not detected because it is not present on the device it appears with a red cross. On the other hand, if it is detected, the icon is displayed in color with a green slash indicating it is working properly, or with a question mark if any type of failure is detected. In addition to this, Z-DeviceTest will show the ranges of each sensor, describing maximum and minimum values on navigable lists and, in many cases, you will be able interact with the sensor from the application itself.
In latest versions:
ANT+ radio detection added, that is compatible with most fitness sensors on the market as pulse meters, bascules, cadence meters, etc.
We have added detailed info about each satellite in Navstar constellation into GPS screen, and also an accurate test of it.
A barómeter sensor detection has been added to measure atmospheric pressure.
We implemented two new screen tests added, one to measure multitouch type (Simple, double , extended, etc) and other to measure the pressure in each dot of the multitouch sensor . They can be accessed from "menu" button in display test screen.
In addition, the LOG function , which you can access from "MENU" button. The Log will test the whole device and will generate a HTML file that will be storaged on /zausan/z-devicetest and that you can send by e-mail in order to compare with other models or to ask technical questions on internet forums.
It also had been added camera flash detection and N.F.C. sensor (Near Field Communication) that incorporated in new models such as Samsung Nexus S.
The memory detection and internal/external storage devices had been redesigned and now it even shows the partitions info.

Z-DeviceTest is an essential application to check the "health" of your device.
We appreciate the chinese translation of Z-Devicetest to www.ndoo.net and to John Ng.
